Compatibility
Adhesion – Epoxy glue adheres to most plastics and metals used to house printed circuit assemblies; however, it is not compatible with contaminants like water, oil, or greasy flux residues, which may affect adhesion. In case of contamination, first clean the surface to be coated with Isopropyl Alcohol. For substrate substances with weak adhesion strengths, surface preparation such as sanding or pre-coating with a suitable primer may improve adhesion.

Chemical resistance – Once cured, the epoxy adhesive is inert under normal conditions. It will resist water and salt exposure. It is expected to resist short term exposures to fuels or similar non-polar organic solvents, but it is not suitable for prolonged exposures. Avoid use with strong acids, strong bases, or strong oxidizers.
Storage
Store between 16 and 27 °C [61 and 81 °F] in a dry area, away from sunlight. Some of the components are sensitive to air, always recap firmly when not in use to maximize shelf life.
2-Part Application Instructions
For best results, follow the procedure below. For quantities less than 1 mL or for stricter stoichiometry control, mix by weight with a high-precision balance. Heat cure to achieve optimal conductivity.
Syringe:
- Twist and remove the cap from the syringe. Do not discard cap.
- Measure 1 part by volume of A.
- Measure 1 part by volume of B.
- Dispense material on a mixing surface or container, and thoroughly mix parts A and B together.
- To stop the flow, pull back on the plunger.
- Clean nozzle to prevent contamination and material buildup.
- Replace the cap on the syringe.
Can or jar:
- Stir each part individually to re-incorporate material that may have separated during storage.
- Measure 1.2 part by weight of A.
- Measure 1 part by weight of B.
- Thoroughly mix parts A and B together.
- Apply adhesive to the application area.
Cure Instructions
Room temperature cure:
- Let cure at room temperature for 5 to 24 h.
Heat cure:
- Put in oven at 65 °C [149 °F] for 15 min.
—OR—
- Put in oven at 125 °C [257 °F] for 7 min.
Stability and Reactivity
Reactivity – Reacts exothermically with amines.
Chemical Stability – Chemically stable at normal temperatures and pressures
Conditions to Avoid – Avoid ignition sources, open flames, and incompatible substances. Do not use in a way that aerosolizes the product.
Incompatibilities – Avoid strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, strong bases
Polymerization – Will not occur
Decomposition – Will not decompose under normal conditions.
Summary of Effects and Symptoms by Routes of Exposure
Eyes – May cause redness and mild irritation.
Skin – May cause skin redness, mild irritation, dry skin, or allergic contact dermatitis.
Inhalation – May cause cough, respiratory irritation, sore throat, or asthma.
Ingestion – It may cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting (see inhalation symptoms).
Chronic – Prolonged and repeated exposure may lead to skin sensitization. Prolonged and repeated ingestion or inhalation of silver may yield to an irreversible blue-grey discoloration of the skin.
Health and Safety
Please see the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) of your selected products for further details on transportation, storage, handling, safety guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
Ventilation
Keep airborne concentrations below the occupational exposure limits (OEL).
The silver flakes are inextricably bound to the adhesive mixture; therefore they are not available as airborne hazards under normal use. Ensure adequate ventilation if the product is mechanically aerosolized.
Eye protection
Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles.
RECOMMENDATION: Ensure that glasses have side shields for lateral protection.
Skin Protection
For likely contacts, use of protective butyl rubber, latex, neoprene, or other chemically resistant gloves.
For incidental contacts, use nitrile or other chemically resistant gloves.
Respiratory Protection
If exposed to fumes or dust above the exposure limit, wear a suitable respirator meeting local/regional/national guidelines.
If the product is heated or the worker has a known allergic reaction, consider using a full mask with organic vapor cartridge or with an independent air supply.
RECOMMENDATION: Consult your local safety supply store to ensure that your respirator has a NIOSH (U.S.) approved filter cartridges appropriate for the ingredients listed in Section 3. The respirator should be fitted to the employee by a professional. Ensure vapor cartridges are stored in sealed plastic bags when not being used.
General Hygiene Considerations
Wash hands thoroughly with water and soap after handling.
